High school students at Millwoods Christian have the opportunity to complete Advanced Placement (AP) coursework in preparation for post-secondary studies.
|The Grades 5's, 6’s and 10’s at Millwoods Christian have partnered with Junior Achievement, a non-profit organization who works with local businesses and organizations to deliver experiential programs on the topics of financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship to students in kindergarten through high school.|
|Students in grades 7 & 8 have the opportunity to compete in the Science Olympics.
|As part of their Trees and Forests unit, the Grade 6’s at MCS partner with Root for Trees, a municipally sponsored program working to plant more trees to double the size of our urban forest.|
|Millwoods Christian is proud to be a part of the Cappies of Greater Edmonton (Critic and Award Program for High School Theatre).|
|The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative is a
one-of-a-kind experience that engages young people in social change and empowers them to participate in the growing of compassionate communities. Millwoods Christian partners with YPI to bless a local non-profit with $5000 in financial support each year.
|As part of our international service trip program, Millwoods Christian has developed a strong partnership with The Dominican Republic Education and Mentoring (DREAM) Project in Cabarate, Dominican Republic. MCS sends teams to serve with the DREAM Project annually and we are also one of the primary financial sponsors for their Caraballo Montessori Preschool program.
