Child Care

Millwoods Christian School Society Early Learning Childcare Centre (ELCC) is a Christian faith based childcare program. ELCC exists to provide safe, reliable, quality childcare where the centre meets the needs of each child and family. Children will develop their physical, mental, spiritual, and social/emotional needs and abilities while they learn through exploration and play.

ELCC is a licensed childcare program which follows Alberta Childcare Licensing Regulations. ELCC’s is based on learning through play. This includes inclusive and multicultural programming, daily outdoor/indoor physical activities, Christian faith based monthly themes, and emergent curriculum.

ELCC’s summer program has weekly themed programming. There are two fieldtrips per week. One in house fieldtrip, and one fieldtrip away from the centre based on the themes for the week. Pre-Kinder will participate in age appropriate fieldtrips. During the week there are fun activities planned based on the themes and children’s interests. During the summer program there are mixed aged groups from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

ELCC offers

·       Pre-Kinder Program for 3-5 years old (Must be fully potty trained)

·       Kindergarten Program that runs in conjunction with Millwood’s Christian School

·       Before and After School Care for Grade 1-6

ELCC operates year round. ELCC is closed for statutory holidays, two days before our summer program starts, the week before school starts in September, and the days between Christmas and New Year’s.
